A message from our Chair of Governors

While school governance is not without its challenges it has also proved to be one of the most rewarding things I have volunteered to undertake. Being a governor has allowed me the opportunity to utilise my skills, knowledge and experience to help make a positive difference to the lives of the children and wider school community at Barford Primary. The educational landscape is changing all the time and now more than ever it is important that governors, school leaders, staff and parents continue to work together to develop a learning environment for our children that is responsive to their needs; provides appropriate support, encouragement, opportunity and challenge; and which equips all our children with the confidence, skills, motivation and aspiration to realise their potential.
